THE best Mexican food in Austin is here -- period. Eating out on their deck is wonderful -- the colorful flowers in the margaritas (and the ones they hand out to the ladies) are a nice touch. FANTASTIC prickley pear margaritas. Five starry bats. |
Mushashino is the best sushi place in town, but it's crowded and expensive. Who is 2nd? Uchi downtown? Sushi Sake? Kenichi? Why go to those crowded joints when the real 2nd place contender is conveniently uncrowded in NW Austin? Midori is smallish with great ambience, a festive staff, and outstanding sushi -- with a much smaller bill than Mushashino. |
HOW can people live in Austin and not know about the little burger and beer joint right on the lake? The completely laid back Austin atmosphere -- the boaters -- the people with their dogs -- and the live music are always real pleasers. Burgers, catfish, pizza, onion rings, beer, & wine... and true Austin spirit... |

It's hard to find people you trust... but I totally trust my former neighbor Marc Cook. He puts his all into his Texas Heat & Air, and when you have a problem with the A/C in Austin, it is a PROBLEM. Marc will come out and find your problem quickly, be completely honest with you, and do anything he can to save you money. I leave him a key when we need service -- you can trust him that much.
